Once the formula crisis is lessened - then what?

While the immediate need is to reinstate the supply of amino-acid formulas, there is legislation on the table that can help these same families.

A person who requires medical nutrition such as amino-acid formulas is often left with no other option than to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars per month to survive. Medical nutrition is not currently covered by most insurance companies. Paying for these formulas is impossible for many families, which leads to disastrous outcomes. The Medical Nutrition Equity Act must pass at the federal level.
